The IntelliDOCK RST310 provides access to intelligent communication services from a standard 9505A handset. The IntelliDOCK is a highly featured communications device providing the most intelligent RJ11/POTS voice, data and messaging services available. Key Features: 
The RST310 is designed for all remote communications applications for mobile or fixed use. These markets include Maritime, Transport, Defence, Emergency Services, Mining, Construction, and Recreational users. Global Coverage The Iridium Satellite network provides global coverage from pole to pole and the use of low powered antennas ensures the Beam communication terminal provides a truly global solution. RJ-11 / PSTN Emulation The IntelliDOCK provides an intelligent RJ11/POTS interface emulating all the standard features of a PSTN (Public Telephone Service) telephone service. The user operates the connected equipment as though using a standard telephone connection, as the unit is equipped to provide configurable dial, busy and ring tones, along with off-hook detection. The Intelligent interface allows for easy installation providing flexibility for maximum run cable length from the RJ11 port as well as the use of cordless and corded telephone equipment. PBX / In-building Integration The Intelligent interface of the RST310 Beam terminal enables the integration of the terminal to a PBX system. This enables the service to be accessed directly from a standard telephone connected to the PBX. The Beam RST310 supports long runs of standard copper telephone wire up to 1000 metres. Multiple extensions can be connected to the terminal. Voice Services 
The IntelliDOCK supports various options for accessing voice communications. The terminal will allow the use of an Intelligent Handset and standard phone equipment through its intelligent RJ11 connectivity. This means that standard cordless, corded or PBX systems can be integrated for voice communications on this terminal.
Intelligent Handset Interface The Beam Intelligent Handset, RST971, is an ideal accessory for voice and SMS communications. The handset is compact, lightweight, easy to install and comes complete with hang-up cup, in-built ringer and mounting bracket. (cannot be used simultaneously with RJ11 Port) Phone Number Processing The RJ11 port is capable of being programmed to pre-empt such dialing codes as the international access of "00" country codes and or area codes. The intelligent number processing is ideal for various applications to enable ease use by any user. It is also possible to enable the programming of direct Emergency Number Numbers and short code voicemail box numbers as required. Data Services All Beam terminals support all of the Iridium Data services available. This then provides a flexible means by which to communicate using one or more of the following protocols;
Using SMS with the intelligence built into the Beam RST100 and RST200 terminals; it is possible to remotely configure the communication terminal. It also gives the ability to run diagnostic checks, check signal strength, terminal temperature, retrieve call logs and the ability to have automated reporting for "still alive" reporting as required. Local/Remote Configuration The Intelligent processor inside the IntelliDOCK enables the terminal to be configured remotely or locally. Locally it can be simply configured with a PC using the Beam Management System (BMS) supplied. Installation The RST310 can be deployed for various applications. Selecting an appropriate antenna and antenna cable for the installation is very important for optimum performance. Mounting brackets, configuration CD and a 110/240 AC/DC plug pack is included with the terminal. SMS POTS Support 
The IntelliDOCK allows the use of an SMS POTS handset. SMS POTS is a new feature that enables selected standard type telephone handsets to support SMS functionality previously only available on more expensive Intelligent Type handsets.
The specialized handsets connect to the RST310´s RJ11 connector and enable SMS messages to be sent, received and stored in the same way as a cellular phone operates. Cordless and corded options are available. Power Inputs / Backup Battery Beam terminals support 11-32V DC power input. An AC plug-pack is supplied with all terminals, which makes it easy to connect to mains or DC power. An optional Beam Battery Backup, can provide 24 hours standby time and 2 hours of talk time. The terminal is also capable of being Solar Powered. Alert / Tracking Interface 
The Beam TrackALERT terminals are an intelligent Alert / Tracking and Monitoring unit all-in-one and are available for all Beam terminals. TrackALERT allows the deployment of various applications including vehicle or asset tracking, monitoring and condition reporting, along with remote control and configuration. Alert/Alarm monitoring applications are also possible.
