This also supports the Ship Security Alert System (SSAS) requirements and enables covert emergency distress signals to be transmitted. TrackALERT Interface The Beam TrackALERT, alert and monitoring interface, delivers a highly intelligent tracking, monitoring and alert system for various market applications. This interface also supports the Ship Security Alert System (SSAS) and enables anyone to easily and covertly transmit an emergency distress signal to the ship owner and any nominated Authority. TrackALERT RST035 The RST035 provides an integrated intelligent voice, data and tracking solution using the RST100, RST200 Beam communication terminals. TrackALERT RST035S The RST035S provides the flexibility to integrate to any terminal that supports Iridium SMS or GSM SMS. This includes the Beam RST600, RST610, RST620 and the Iridium 9505 & 9505A handsets. GPS Input The RST035 & RST035S rely on an external GPS NMEA source. This provides the flexibility to use an Intelligent/SMART Garmin type antenna whereby the GPS engine is inbuilt to the Antenna system or any external NMEA signal. Intelligent Configuration The TrackALERT interface units allow full configuration through the intelligent processor onboard the terminal. This allows customization of various settings, notification addresses, notification types, test configuration, notification intervals, loop configuration, remote control as well as remote polling when required. All parameters can be configured remotely via SMS or SBD (Short Burst Data) Tracking Applications  The TrackALERT interface provides an intelligent asset or vehicle-tracking interface for various market applications. The TrackALERT interface enables you to configure individual reporting fields such as long/lat/speed/direction/height as well as the status of alarms or other digital / analog inputs as configured on the terminal.
Movement Reporting For tracking applications the intelligent system also allows the unit to be configured so that position reports are only sent when the vehicle asset is moving; this is a great cost saving measure. However at anytime the unit can still be remotely polled for a current position as required. Alert Systems Applications As the TrackALERT input is designed to provide support for multiple applications, it is possible to also combine the tracking and reporting functionality with an emergency alert system. In this application the TrackALERT interface can handle multiple alarm activation points. These activation points can be from physical buttons or digital/analog inputs. Alert Notification When an alarm is raised this will automatically generate the delivery of an alert notification to the predetermined destination. This delivery destination can be to another Iridium service, another mobile service (Selected Service Providers) or to any email address as specified. Multiple alert notification points can be configured into the terminal for actual alerts and or test alert messages. Secure Alert Reset The TrackALERT terminal can be programmed with a specific Alert Reset passcode. This passcode will then be required to reset an alert remotely via SMS. Alert Priority  Whilst Beam gives you the flexibility to use the Remote Satellite Terminal for other Iridium Services, in the event of an emergency, the Beam RST´s Intelligence will always give Priority to alerts and terminate any active Voice or Data calls in order to transmit the SSAS alert notification when used with the Beam RST100 or RST200.
SSAS: Ship Security Alert System The TrackALERT System when used in conjunction with the Beam Remote Satellite Terminal RST100 or Remote Satellite Modem RST200 fully complies with the SSAS mandated requirements by the International Maritime Organization IMO. Compliance The Beam / Iridium SSAS solutions incorporating the RST030 with one of the Beam Remote Satellite Terminals, enables full compliance with all SOLAS XI-2/6 mandated SSAS regulations. System Testing The TrackALERT system can be easily tested locally or remotely. The test enables a full test of the security system including the real alert buttons and delivery notification protocols, whilst not sending alerts to the Emergency Response centre.
