The RST600 is suitable for compact, reliable fixed or mobile remote data communications. The Data Module can be easily deployed into various installations applications across many market segments. Modem Emulation The RST600 emulates the functionality of a Hayes compatible modem. The user operates the connected equipment as though using a normal dial-up data service or modem connection. Installation The RST600 can be deployed for various applications. Selecting an appropriate antenna and antenna cable for the installation is very important for optimum performance. Power Inputs / Backup Battery The RST600 terminal is supplied with a universal AC 110/240V AC power supply. The unit can also be connected via an optional DC converter, the input voltage of the optional converter is 11–32VDC–4.4VDC output. (RST997) Battery Backup  The RST600 when used in conjunction with the RST994 supports the Beam Battery Backup, RST050. This will provide at least 72 hours of standby time and 4 hours of communications time. The terminal is also capable of being Solar Powered.
Data Services All Beam terminals support all of the Iridium Data services available. This then provides a flexible means by which to communicate using one or more of the following protocols;
 The Beam TrackALERT terminals are an intelligent Alert / Tracking and Monitoring unit all-in-one and are available for all Beam terminals. TrackALERT allows the deployment of various applications including vehicle, asset, asset tracking, monitoring and condition reporting, remote control and configuration. Alert/Alarm monitoring applications are available.
The TrackALERT interface is highly intelligent and the ability to configure many parameters in the terminal locally or remotely enables a great deal of customization and flexibility.
